ADOPT A LAB

R escued dogs are friendly and loving, and often desperate to bond with humans. For this reason, they can make extremely rewarding companions. A history of abuse or neglect, lack of training and attention, and their recent shelter experience, can mean that rescued dogs may be clingy or anxious, exuberant and bouncy (if they are young), in need of obedience training, or have (usually minor) health issues.

WHY ADOPT A RESCUE DOG?

There is no such thing as a bad dog….  Just bad owners
Rescue dogs are not rejects… But have just been let down by their human owners.
Rescue Dogs are desperate to bond to humans and want nothing more than to please you.
Rescue Dogs have often had little training.  However they respond excellently when gently and patiently taught.
Rescue Dogs have often come from situations of abuse and so can react in what would seem to be strange ways….  Please be patient.
Rescue Dogs, when given a chance to be part of a loving family make the most loyal and dedicated companions.
Giving a fresh start to a Rescue Dog can be the most rewarding experience of your life.
The greatest investments you can make into the life of your Rescue Dog are time, patience and love….  You will always receive more than you give.
Rescue Dogs respond best to calm, confident and consistent leadership.
